The history contained within these pages required years of research. It is based upon historical facts that can be found by referring to the books outlined in the bibliography. No other
book on these dogs offers any bibliography. It includes information given willingly to the author by some "old time" breeders, an informative history of the Indian Tribes found in Louisiana,
and their language. A compilation of facts surrounding the inception of the Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog.
